So, i have 15days and i will be rolling with some of my idols. This morning i had a Bjj touney and I did very well. Lets run through the matches. Videos will be uploaded later tonight.
First match: Dude had me by 20lbs so i wasnt going to mess around with his guard. right off of the wistle i dropped to my ass and pursued at him while holding a collar. Pulled guard, Locked a triangle, and finished with a arm bar. The First lasted 11 seconds.
Second match: I went against a wrestler. Basically he just stalled until i sunk in a deep arm bar from guard. 2:30min fight or so.
Third match: I was going against the wrestlers brother who just happens to be a brown belt. My wife only caught the finish of the fight. But it was only a 45 second fight and I won via swim move arm bar. I will still upload the video because u can see the swim and the finish with the bar.
Forth match: MMA fighter was the opponent. 30sec fight. I pulled half guard and went to a electric chair. he tapped to the Electric Chair. My wife once again missed the beginning and JUST caught the finish. Will still upload this also.
Match Five: Was going up against a Marcelo Alonso Blue belt. Match was going well for me, almost got him in 3 or 4 arm bars. 2min into the fight i sunk a deep triangle. All of the sudden I felt and heard what sounded like a bendy straw pop and I had a surge of pain in my ankle. The reff stopped the fight and gave the win to the Blue belt. So basically I lost the match because I broke my ankle 15days before going to 10th Planet HQ. Am i still going? YES!!!! Not going to miss this for the world.
So this touney had a sub league style format but with points. 3 points for a submission and 0 points for a loss. If you go 5min you get 1 point for a draw.
So, i had 4 submisstion, (Would have been five cuz he was tapping when my ankle blew, but what can u do.) 4 subs, 12 points. Closest person to me was the guys who got FIRST! he had 11 points total including the 3 that he got from beating me. So why second? who the fuck knows! I won the touney to points but they gave me second. BS? I think so.. Either way I had fun.

I live in fairbanks alaska. Its a small down.. So for our weight we only had 9 people. all of different ranks. I am not ranked because they only rank gi here in alaska. And i dont have a 10th planet school to go to here so i just do my own thing really.

Looks like a Japanese Jiu jitsu brown belt. I don't think it was a BJJ tournament, just a whoever wants to grapple, not to take anything away from your wins because you did really well.wait.... why did you go up against a brown belt?

Could have been a japanese Jiu Jitsu dude.. he was from anchorage so i dont know lol

thats what i was thinking.. not to take anything away from you.. we had a JJJ brown belt come to our school and everyone tooled him. good job tho.
