So your telling me you only have the right to defend yourself if you are over 18 and if you are under eighteen your parents can treat you however they want. Lets put it this way. If someone walks up to me and punches me in the face i don't have the right to twister them because my life isn't in danger, even though i dont know if they are going to keep hitting me/attacking me or not.

its not the spanking dude...jesus. thats all you are talking about, no one on here said dont spank your child...it was the verbal abuse, the child should get the sense that they did something wrong, not that you hate them. my parents spanked me, i got the switch n the belt n everything, but not once were they insulting me or belittling me during it. i mean sure he didnt have to hit her all over but some parents do that. all im saying is theres absolutely no reason to be hateful to your child in any way. it only teaches them to fear you and eventually hate you.

You obviously don't have a firm grasp on the law, so let me break it down for you. When it comes to a minor and dealing with corporal punishment by the parent, the parent can hit you open handed, with a belt, or a paddle like item on the body. They can't hit you in the face with any item, but they can slap you in the face. the rules, however, do not apply if you are A) over 18 or B) the person isn't your parent. If you are 18, or they aren't your parent you can defend yourself as you see fit if they so much as even get in your face. Parents' however have a right to punish their child as they see fit within the law.

I'm not a father yet so I can't really speak from experience but in a perfect world Cinco would manufacture "Sound Proof Boofs" for disobedient children. It should be the size of an old school telephone boof, not enough room to lie down in and made completely of thick sound proof plexi glass, you can fit it in the corner of your living room. Any time your kid acts up, no beating or yelling necessary, just a question, "Do you wanna go in the sound proof boof?" 9 times out of 10 your kid will shut the fuck up and obey.

Btw, that dude is definitely a total asshole, not shocked his wife left him and daughter is trying to expose him, he should've just ordered the sound proof boof, it could've saved his family
