Started Wrestling Today.

So my wrestling coach watched me ride and control a couple of his studs today. I just worked on staying heavy and keeping position. He said I was a natural. At the end the guys wanted to play around with jiu jitsu, so he let them take a shot at me. The Machine and 10th Planets rep stays intact.LOL. 5-0 all submitted within 1 period.

Still don't think I will ever be a superstar, but had more fun then i thought I would have.
My coach said at a tourny if I think I'm going to get pined at a tourny just go bat shit crazy and break the kids arm. He was kidding.......... I think.

Hit the weight room tomorrow !!!!!!!! Might watch Vision Quest for the 100th time before my first match to get pumped.lol.

nice our gym now has a wrestling class on mondays and just the first class alone has help my arm drags to the back, i can only image training with wrestlers that would be sick..

+1 on watching Vision Quest! On the off season, hook up with Legendary Gene Mills in Phoenix, NY. There's no better instruction!!! He has a school there year round and they have a MMA program and some of the top wrestlers in the state. If he's see's potential he will try to recruit you.haha Even if its a couple times a month. You will benefit!

I used to train with Ray Newkirk former king of the cage champion. I met and trained with Gene Mills when I went to Rays. Dudes awesome. He taught me the Barbedwire move. His invention. stupidly painful.lol.

Really liking it so far. I used my jiu jitsu to hip check and stuff take downs today...... My coach came over and said he thought he loved me !!!! LOL.
