    Jiu Jitsu on TV

Does anyone know of any channels on any cable providers who air jiu jitsu tournys? (not mma, pure jiu jitsu, like ADCC or NAGA)

I don't think I've seen any jits on tv ever, always gotta hit up youtube.

It'd be cool if a channel like HDNet started airing some jits, but I don't recall ever seeing it on there.

I don't think anybody would touch it to be honest. The rules are just too geared towards stalling and points for it to develop into anything that the general public could enjoy. The UFC does have a tight relationship with Grappler's Quest though. I was hoping that they would develop that towards something viewable on tv since gaining more grappling fans gains more educated UFC fans.

Oh how true that is man, I go to the bar to see every fight, and I hate the "beergut black belts" out there who always yell at the screen when it goes to a ground game, and mostly just make it hard to enjoy fighting. I would like people out there to be more educated but its a hard thing to do, people just want to see KOs and blood.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! Those guys are my favorite part of the bar fight watching experience! I about fall out of my chair every time they give their two cents about what a guy should be doing in a particular spot or better yet when you over hear what "they would do" in that situation. Oh my sides hurt just thinking about it!

These people usually tend to have a case of Toney-itis, which is usually indicated by the belief that you can knock someone out from the bottom of mount, or "just stand up" when they start doing that gay grappling stuff.

Its good if I enjoyed that, but I got enough of that in the military (in every situation), so I guess my outlook is a little different.

I usually yell out bad advice so that my friends can laugh. Stuff like, "Catch the wrist lock you moron."

here one of my favorites line from a highly educated television pay per view warrior "I hate when those homos roll on the ground hugging, its so stupid/gay! Fight like men! get up and punch him!"

The Fight network here in Canada has aired some Mundails, the Abu Dhabi Pro gi cup and some judo as well. Only on once and while, but you get Dream and old Deep stuff with Aoki. Being 2.95 a month helps too.
