Lookn to get some mats for my basement, been browsing around a bit.. but its hard to find any real reviews on them. Im looking at doing a 12x12 or so and have been leaning twoards the dollamur ones. Does anyone have an experience with the roll out sets ? Are they actually decent or should a guy try and stick with the more traditional style? Anyone have any other brands they swear by?

I've heard great things about the Dollamur roll up mats. I'm sure you can find cheaper mats if your on a budget.

I have heard that the best are dollamer (spelling?) and zebra. My friend just redid his garage with Dollamers and has been really happy with them

Swain Flexroll Smooth mats if you can afford the best of the best of home use mats. There's already been a thread on this. Feel free to link it for Mr. ScottND if anyone can find it.

I use two dollamur/swain 4x8 folding mats that go together to form an 8x8 square. this is the minimum area you need to train. more is better. get the rolled up ones for your basement if you can.

Cool thanks for the quick replys guys, I tried lookn a bit guess I should have searched. Budget isn't so much a major concern is value is. I want something thats gonna hold up and not piss me off when I have to replace it shortly down the road.

What about thickness, I've got some buds that are pretty nasty wrestlers and Im not opposed to working shots with them a bit, obviously nothing crazy as it wouldnt be hard to find yourself off a 12 foot mat pretty quickly and onto the concrete floor. 1.5 thick enough though to take a decent fall onto?

I have 5 rolls of the swain flexi-rolls and they are awesome. I have the thickest possible and use them in my garage. I recommend for sure.

If you get the Dollamur mats and price is no problem. Get the 2 inch, for those nasty take downs.
