According to the IBJJF rules...yes...they even circulated a video explaining it in great detail.

In great detail? I disagree, not one of the positions on the IBJJF video shows the scenario that happened here.

Like some others who have posted, I think the worst, most unsportsmanlike part of the video is the opponent calling the 'reap' out to the ref. I could understand if he was in danger and thought he was at risk for immediate injury and needed the ref to stop the match, but this just looked cowardly.

What's also funny, from my understanding when I did the referee course, the guy standing can also be dq'd if he forces or pushes the bottom persons leg in a position the reaps the knee.
