people are just haters, no matter what you do, and MMA fans are as fickle as they come, the haters will jump back on his dick as soon as he beats the shit out of rashad, after machida, if machida did what he did to rashad, and shogun did what he did to machida and jones did that to shogun, what do you think he'll do to rashad ?

He looks two faced and not honest to me. In that same token there are a lot of two faced people I actually like. The difference is they do not act like they are amazingly honest. If time shows that Jones is an honest person, then this point will be moot.

I don't like the whole teeth showing, ready to bite face that he gives at every photoshoot, but that is a personal opinion.

Most important, I think he wins his fights due to his physical gifts not his knowledge of the sport. Brock Lesnar beat Randy Couture, that does not make Lesnar the best of the west super duper fighter of all time. He was almost twice the size of Randy. For me to accept Jones as a good fighter, he should be fighting in the HW division. He has the height and bone structure to do it. He goes out and beats fighters like Cain, JDS, Ubereem even Brock and then I will respect him as a fighter and not just a genetic freak.

For any golf fans out there it is a little bit like Tiger Woods. Talent out the wazoo-in fact, unlike anything seen before. Jones is a genetic freak with his reach and wrestling abilities combined. To tie it together, I didn't like Tiger because of his arrogance, but I sure tuned it to watch. Love them or hate them, you tune in to cheer for or against, or simply to see the show. I think they are both good for their sports.

    +1

And that's all that really matters in the end, the progression of the sport. It's like how I feel about Nick Diaz, I don't like the guy's persona much, or his attitude, but good god that guy can fight and makes the game THAT much more fun to watch and be a part of.

+1 thats just solid mma math there one varible is the fact that rashad has all this time to prepare and look at this fight microscopicly and there is something to be said bout that. He may be the best prepared. jones has another fight on his mind right now.

Jones is definitely my favorite fighter to watch. I think he's the most entertaining fighter out there. Also, all of my personal interactions with him make me think he is a genuinely really cool guy. Our gym is really good friends with Jackson's and I've never heard anything negative about the guy.

So basically, Rashad is the Batman of the mma world?

I don't know about that. Tiger was golfing since he was 2. The dude has like 30+ years of training under his belt. I wouldn't equate that to being a genetic freak.

I mean u can't just rule someone out because you've beaten someone that has beaten them. That's the beauty of mma. I mean lyoto presents a whole new problem and puzzle for Jones. Just because he walked through shogun doesn't mean he'll walk through lyoto at all. We'll see how it goes but he better be ready to solve machidas riddle before he worries about Evans or he's gonna find himself without a title.

Yes Machida has a habit of 'mesmerizing' opponents with his movement etc, as does Jones. Stylistically its a great matchup IMO. :-)
