Why do people hate Jon Jones?

the batman of this situation, maybe he's more like the joker and jones is batman. in he's head and shit. idk. but if he is the bat in this situation he has a badass alfred squad down in the bat cave ala tryone sprung and cosmo alexandre, so his kickboxing is going to be nastier than we've seen from him. like some have pointed out though, jones has machida on his plate right now.

I don't hate him, he's got an incredible fighting style, he's a finisher, and a true mixed martial artist!
He's all the best things combined, and watching his fights is plain scary! He crushed Shogun, and that's my hero.. And I knew deep down that it would happen.. I was sad, but I don't hate him.

He's just a little over-hyped. He's not going to be the Anderson Silva of the LHW division. People talk about his last fight like he just walked through Rampage, but the head-movement was throwing Jones off. Machida is at least as technical as Rampage, and he has the patience to pick his shots and frustrate Jones.

he did walk through rampage. he shut him down completely. he knew how and he did. i'm sure he'll figure out something for machida. it'll probably be shogun's first plan about body kicks and leg kicks.

Well, over hyped, I don't know.. He's at the very top of the world, standing on the top of the mountain so to speak, I'm having trouble seeing as how anyone can call a man in that position over-hyped..? But I agree, the Machida fight will be interesting..!

I think some of the hate comes from him being so young and so dominant. He's a hero crusher. Shogun fans were livid after that fight. The excuse was, "if that was Pride Shogun, Jones would get destroyed". Jones has yet to really be tested. I think if someone can really push him to see what he's made of, he'll earn more respect.

I was at that tournament along with some guys from my team.I know Doug from being on the sambo national team together. What people dont realize is that Jones was in 2 tournamentsthat day, first he was in a team dual meet turnament (which is the match above). Then he competed in the individual part of the tournament next. The team part was mixed experience levels, so i.e. blue vs brown, the individual part he was in the BEGINNER divison. Jones won a junior national title in college for wrestling at Iowa Community College, but then puts himself in a divison set up for guys with a 1yr experience. Jones knew better as a person and should have wanted to test himself better, He beat Doug (ranked in the nation for Sambo), then wants wants to face less than equal comp. Not cool in my book!

The kid has awesome skills, but he let his success get to his head.That is why I cant stand Jones,but like I said he is a great fighter.
