If u watch the replay, Jones just dropped him n walked away like yup, that's right. Cocky as shit. But still a win.
What he did is no different than what a ton of other guys do. KO or choke. I can't remember any time where someone was put to sleep and the opposing fighter politely tucked them in for bed. Grasping at straws man.

You guys really don't understand the difference between confidence and cockiness. Jones is confident. If you could do that, you'd be confident too. I appreciate the fact that he voices it instead of lying about it like "oh, I'm not sure if I'm good or not." He knows he's good.

Cocky would've told him "Keep striking with Machida. You're better than him." But he knew he was losing that game. Confidence told him he has different tools that he can better utilize to win. And he was right. He started using different tools and he won. He has the right to be confident.

    Just sayin.

Jon Jones is the Michael Jackson of MMA, and for all the wrong reasons. His complaint that Rashad "ruined [his] special night twice now," and more recently his desire to show his family "some sort of magical vacation" lead me to believe that he is a pedophile. Plus, he's pretty into Jesus, and that just makes his latent pedophilia all the more disgusting.

Definitely more of a reflection on Greg Jackson than on Jones.

Jones has respect for Machida, how could he not? He probably just got caught up in the winning moment and it slipped his mind that the "proper" thing to do is to check on Machida to make sure he's alright. He heard Jackson remind him, and he did his thing. I mean can you even imagine how much shit would be running through your head in the few minutes after knocking out a legend to defend your UFC title?!

As far as Jackson is concerned, I don't think that coaching Jones to go check on Machida was inappropriate at all. Jackson seems to run pretty much all facets of Jones' career and public relations is definitely part of that. He probably shouldn't have yelled the "win some fans" part, especially with so many microphones surrounding him, but you have to remember, we only heard one small sentence from Jackson, and we have no idea what the context of "win some fans" really was. Maybe he meant it as a joke and realized immediately how insincere it sounded but couldn't take it back? Maybe "win some fans" in itself is an inside joke in the Jackson camp? Maybe Jones has been working particularly hard on his image lately and his PR agent is particularly cold-hearted and Jackson was mocking him/her? Maybe Jackson and Jones are both greedy heartless pricks who only care about money and could care less about the true well-being of Machida? The point is you can't judge a man based on one sentence like that, and you certainly can't judge the man who it was said to just because he listened.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove me wrong. Jon Jones is alright in my book. For now. :-)

HOLY SHIT! Someone with a realistic perspective on the situation of being
in front of millions of people while they judge your every move. Nice work Gumby.

Everyone else just stick to the nice friendly mats that you always stick to,
and assume everyone should act like you think they should.
