    I'm going on two years, and I haven't reached that epiphany stage yet, but I imagine when I do I'll stop thinking about moves as different steps, pausing between each one, and start chaining it altogether seamlessly.

    There is an endless cycle of 3 stages....

    1.) Just learning.
    2.) Everything seems to click and you think you are awesome
    3.) You realize that you really suck

    Then go Back to step #1. This isn't to say that you suck, just that there is always new levels of ability to reach. Enjoy the feeling when in #2, and don't get too discouraged in step #3.

    ...someone just mentioned to me last night that muscle memory really starts to develop towards the end of your blue belt (~3 yr mark).

    I'm just trying to sweep everyone who's bigger & better than me with my lockdown game. Getting smashed instead, errrrrr....
