I think the highest belted matches were me and Geo. I may have been the only brown belt in the tourney. I shouldn't have competed due to the injury, but i wanted to put on a show for all the supporters. Geo got to show his skills for sure. I think the only tech I was capable of showing was the rubber stamp, as toe holds and heel hooks were off limits. I just couldn't get my body to move that day. I think it's important to see the sweep Geo pulls off in the end. Sean picked it up from Caio in the Midwest. It's like a 93 guard, push up, to reverse spin. It's really neat, but be warned, if toe holds are allowed, mind your feet.

There were a couple purple vs purple matches as well, and I was indeed amazed at the blue belt matches!!!

All in all I saw great talent in the tourney. Some of the folks I had never seen before and it was special to see.
