    Some RG questions

Often against bigger guys, I struggle to get my leg in front of their shoulder when first getting mission control. It often ends up to low on their upper back, what can i do to imrpove my initial mission control in and stop this problem.
Get at more of an angle??? scoot out more to the side i have the overhook??

Also, doin the double bagger, against big guys, i move my foot that is on their hip, up their back so i can grab my foot with my hand on the opposite side, and i cant reach my foot against many bigger guys.

is it just that its harder against bigger guys, or that i need more flexibility?
    or a combination of both
sorry if i dont describe them very clearly.

You've answered both your questions. More of an angle by scooting out is an easier way to get a tight mission control, and if you can't reach your foot, your flexibility needs work!

We like to call it a salad shrimp (thank you Brandon McCaghren) because it's not a full shrimp. Salad shrimp to the side of the leg you are pulling rubber guard with.

As far as double bagger, I can't pull that on bigger guys either.

Yea the same thing Heidi said. Shrimp out a little bit so you can get your leg up higher on the neck. It seems to work pretty well for me.

When I shrimp to the side I always have to remind myself to pinch my inside knee hard to their body. If my inside leg flares out, there's an opportunity to pass.

Thanks, pretty much just reinforced what I was thinking but, I thought it better to check and put me on the right path if i was doing something wrong.

Double bagger works GREAT on people my own weight, its rediculous how much more control it gives me when going for gogoplata.

Look for an overhook on the side you want to bring up your leg. Then you have a control point so you can put your feet on the hips to make space. The lower he is the less flexability is required. Plus while he's trying to get that arm back he's not closing the distance and you have a clear path to Newyork

What brian said. If I can't clear my hips for RG, then I use the overhook guard to get my hip out and then switch to RG.

I'll try it tomorrow... I do fine when they give me mission control, but I suck at getting there. When we drill in class there's no problem. Positional sparring from MC or CHC is no problem. Getting into a good MC is a huge problem.
