No! paleo AKA zero out processed unnatural foods, minimal sugar, grains, cow and/or uncultured dairy, and legumes. Maximum fresh veggies and lean protein with some fruit, nuts and seeds. Add in lots of water some probiotics and a few key supplements and you should be good to go.

Not that the Gracie diet is horrible just seems really high in fructose with all the smoothies.

Do chimpansees eat ants? Yes they do. What's this; "Milk has so and so much protein, so you don't need more"? When you're on milk you weigh a couple of Kgs.. And you don't do that the rest of your life. We are omnivores, and that's a fact.

Not saying you can't be vegetarian, but we do need protein. The whole piece seems fanatic and full of pseudo science if you ask me. I believe more in the paleo thing, that's how we were intended to eat. And icecream is good. And cold water. I don't want lukewarm water, wtf? Do they still have the pretty girls in Gracie magazine? Post that instead. *lol*

It was a good read anyway, I like that they talk about taking care of ones stomach. As one grows older, one starts to notice that it's important. A friend gave me a tip to avoid Diverticulitis; Eat lots of nuts and fiber, it cleanses the stomach, just like they mention in this article.

I agree, Paleo is the best meal plan I have tried and it makes the most sense to me, but I think everyone processes food differently so the "gracie diet" might work for some people

No legumes? I was under the impression that they were very healthy.

Unless you hunt, kill and prep your own meat you shouldnt be eating it. You don't need it to survive, and the few benefits you are receiving from it are grossly outweighed by the negatives when it comes to farmed meat. The obsession with animal based protein is bizzare to say the least and your primary focus as a person who wants to live healthily for as long as possible must always be nutrient density. Fruits & Vegetables FTW!
