Any other affiliates have kids programs? Wanna duel ???

Hey coaches and teammates. I have about 20ish 5-12 year olds and we really want to compete against other 10th planet kids teams, if there are any on the Pacific NW.
We just finished a tournament and basically they had so many rules that the kids could only do Armbars, Triangles, and RNC's
We did great, and it was still a big let down for the kids to not be able to use lots of moves that they know and practice (gogo, locos, electric chairs, arm crushes, Teepees, etc) .

So, i am proposing that any affiliates that want to plan out a kids team special event: a 10th planet kids team DUEL of sorts , to email me and i will get it started.

Sounds like your kids program is doing great. I'm jealous. I understand about arm crushes, though. They're sometimes illegal even in adult tournaments and there is a reason for that.

I think we should just have a big "10th planet jiu jitsu championship" Type of tournement with both kids and adults. We can make our own rules... I think THAT would be pretty cool.

I just don’t get techniques like this being illegal for safety purposes in advanced adult, when kimora’s, american’s and omaplatas (sometimes not…) are legal in kids divisions. These techniques have the highest injury rate (in my experience), and the injury (shoulder) is often terrible. It seems to me the legality of moves is based on what is taught at what level at certain schools (not 10th planet…) rather than what’s the most safe… or is it just me?
