Hmm. Look at how the top guy bases and drives him back. Not sure this was an intentional guard pull. Looks like it could be just a botched single countered with kind of an instinctual reversal by his opponent.
Third option: CLINCH and pull. All that space got him beat up.
I can see something like this happening to me once or twice. Brian is right though. To much space. Didn't look bad, but you cant get used to chillin under them playing with b-hooks without crazy movement constantly attacking his base.
I did say failed. I know Brian is right as far as proper way to get into the third option. But, he did go into guard and this is just another BJJ Blackbelt failing in guard in MMA!
Sure Jon that's a successful one! Nicely done too! Of course the competition level between both fighters weren't close to being equal.IMO. Too bad Drysdale stop fighting MMA.

Really? I thought he opted out of ADCC in order to train for MMA. Where did you hear this?
