    Low Guard vs high guard

I have a question outside of the rubber guard, I would consider my guard very difficult for people to pass and I always instantly move my legs to around the persons armpits to help achieve this. I've noticed that I always always always get stacked by people, and the position turns into a stalemate unless the person in my guard makes a mistake. I've been having problems countering the when the person stacking me is larger than me. I was curious if keeping my legs around the persons waist would make me harder to stack and more aggressive without making my guard easier to pass. Also I am trying to focus on submitting from the guard not sweeping.

I guess Cody here thinks that your question is not legit and thought you may have been a former troll on this site named Taylor, but checked some source and found out you are not.

I prefer sweeps from the bottom unless I'm playing kimura guard or Rubber Guard or Prison Guard or The Pyramid Or 93 Guard Or Z Guard. Not the biggest fan of the guards you mentioned as finishing positions so I am afraid I can't weigh in.

You can at push them back if you lower your guard. Just reset I guess its hard to counter a bad stack unless they totally disregard their base and you hit a sweep.

If you have a lower guard you can keep your body straight from head to feet and avoid the stack by kind of pushing the guy back, but you'll get passed easier... and you wont be able to control his posture.

Have you tried getting an over hook on his arm and working some stuff from the pyramid position? It isn't rubber guard so much as a bunch of attacks from an over hook.

Do you know how to turn different sweeps into submissions based on how they counter your sweep?
