Today was not only my first 10th planet class, but the first training class I've ever been to for this sort of thing. I loved it, I cant wait to get back in there. It almost felt addicting, so physical and mental.
When I watched The Twister movie by Eddie, just listening to him talk about his old matches made me feel as if this could be for me. When I came into the 10th planet gym everyone was so friendly. So open and helpful. I apologized a few times for not knowing what to do and such, but I was told to stop apologizing and just let it go.
The class was with Jon Botello, 10th Planet Phoenix. He was no exception. He made me feel as if he wanted me there. He seemed very skilled. His demeanor made it feel like he was just another student rather than a teacher.
I am not any good at this yet, but I gave it my all. Maybe it was me pushing myself, or maybe it was all the help. It might have been the excitement everyone had or the knowledge they were trying to share. Whatever it was, this was a bit of a spiritual experience for me. I couldn't believe that it felt so great. I'm glad that I was able to take part in this class.
