    My flex is better doing jiu-jitsu at 47 than it was thai boxing when I was 27. Don't let your ego write checks your body can't cash. As you get older you have to train smarter and not do things because this is how it used to work before.

    spend more time and effort on warming up properly, before actitivity and before stretching. If it hurts, then you have stretched and warmed up properly

    i had zero to none flex 3 months ago and plagued with knee problems since i was 15 but i watched a video when eddie was at the bomb squad days and you just got to get working at it even when your just chilling out on the couch i spend a good solid hour stretching every day now and a good glucosamine supplement does help shit if my fat white belt arse can do it anybody can

    Just don't over do the static stretching. I've started doing five minutes skipping as my warm up before a half hour of stretching and half hour on grappling dummy

    dude at 42, I'm breaking down daily, but I have to say that since I started stretching for 10th planet stuff, my knees hurts less now than they used to. orthopedists will tell you that the pain you feel is from arthritis that has settled as a result of inactivity, start a serious stretching regiment and see if you don't feel better.
