Online Seminars?

First of all, this idea may have been scrapped completely. It was mentioned early on and I haven't heard anything about it since. I just think it would be cool.

I think we should just have each of the black/brown belt instructors record their seminars and then upload them to the site. Just to have supplemental material available for those of us who have compulsive obsessions with jiu jitsu

Streaming the seminar to other schools would be cool, but I can't think of how that would work well enough to ask someone to pay to be there.

I think that the MTS stuff should be adequate. Their releases are spread apart enough to accomplish adequate drilling between episodes, plus 10thplanetrochester have a lot of great vids on youtube to drill, and they are updated relatively frequently.
If you want critiquing i think submitting your videos to the forum for an eye to be cast over it by eddie and the other top guys is the next best thing to training there. And I have noticed that Eddie and Chris give advice and pointers on most videos submitted.

I mentioned this to Eddie back when I first showed him the updated look of the site and he was game. It really isn't that hard technically - all I would need is an internet connection from wherever we do the seminar from.

We can broadcast it for free on a place like ustream.tv, and they have a chatroom built in, or we can embed the ustream.tv video on a page on our site and use our own chat room at the bottom.

At Budovideos, I chose to use another, more featured, chatroom that could handle 1000+ users at the same time - which I don't think we need to deal with yet.

So my point is, it is VERY, VERY doable.
