You will most certainly not be good if u just move anywhere in LA. im from palos verdes which is a very affluent place area at the far west of the la metropolitan area. being the second largest metropolitan area in the united states there are going to be plenty of bad areas you want to avoid just like there are plenty of nice ones. driving from pv all the way to hq in hollywood is a real bitch so ive been thinking of a move up there as well and since you say you've got a job lined up already in glendale, which is a decent city to live in, i would think about living at maybe a midway point between ur job and hq. but if u say you've already found affordable housing in west la then i think u should just go for it then. west LA is considered to be a great place to live as opposed to east la. a little rule of thumb ive found is anywhere east of the 110 freeway in LA county is pretty much where i want to stay away from. ALMOST everywhere to the west is much better. but the area ur looking at in west la is definitely a good place to settle in the crazy city. pretty damn close to hq and not too far from glendale. i'd say ur all good to go bra. if ur not set on it then i suggest also looking at apartments in hollywood, glendale, west hollywood, beverly hills even downtown la has some nice affordable lofts. all those areas are of good distance from hq and ur job in glendale. dont be afraid to look up some places on handy-dandy wikipedia or even a map :P good luck man. hope to see ya soon at hq
