On the topic of Woolly Mammoths, have you seen this? Apparently a deal was signed to clone it. Hwang-Woo Suk of South Korea's Sooam Biotech Research Foundation plans on implanting the nucleus from a mammoth cell into an elephant egg to create a mammoth embryo. The Koreans are saying research could begin this year.
