Sucks to hear that. The only people that it's hurting is the kids looking for help! But it's just close mindedness. If it's not MMA it's something else ppl want to take from us b/c they don't want to understand.
I don't have enough fingers on my fingers to count the people I know who have got concussions from playing on our school rugby team alone.
Years and years ago, we lost our football team all together because some guy broke his neck during a game. Pretty sure he died.
I cant either, even though i dont go to Thurston, i wouldve still gone to support the wrestlers.
It is so dumb, people need to back off.
what it wrong with people, it wasnt like it was cage fights for nothing, it was a fundraiser, for a team/sport who arent as funded as the other sports,
they got robbed by that one person....
They should look up the highway a little bit and check out Willamina High School. I am fighting for a promotion fundraiser that they are having for the second year in a row, check out Fight For Our Schools Round 2. Less then 6 weeks away.. I can taste that 170# Super Fight belt.Attachment 1201

I started training in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in 2006 after serving 4 years in the USAF.
I became a professional MMA fighter in 2009 and got my blackbelt from Eddie in January of 2016.

They should stop using the term "cage fights" as stupid as it is, it's things like that ignorant people use to do what this lady did without learning anything about the sport. Until MMA is a mainstream sport like football we as a community need to be smart about the PR and the ammo we give the powers that be in order to hold events and educate the masses.
