Get the books, a pro membership here, a few buddies to train with, and a few years of practice.

well i teach at my university the basic fundamentals and all the 10thpjj techniques are self tough from books, internet and the pro membership like Dylan said. i think when you have had priveous experience in jiujitsu and then self teaching it make it a lot easyer to under stand the concept of the techniques. Ovosly tho it will take a bit more time due to restictions on how many times you can train and you havent got a coach to piont out the little difference in the technique to make it perfect.

Just get as much mat time in as you can this is the key to getting really good, before too long you are probably going to want to find a good instructor because otherwise its a massive disadvantage. Defo get that mat time though, wherever you can.

I got the membership, got the videos, and train at a gym where no one say No to styles and moves that work. There is a moon about an hour away, but by watching technique and checking my self when something doesnt work live i dont feel at a disadvantage. And i rep 10p proudly on my fight shorts.
10th Planet Ronin, we are out there.

Chicago is 3 hours away. Use the books the DVD's and Mastering the System. Find some friends and drill/roll with them and try to make it to Chi town once a week or even once every other week. TBH there is no better way then training at a moon though.

Ditto to all the above, mat time, pick out what u can from the MTS membership and the books/dvds, and roll with kids who won't laugh/poke fun at u for trying RG, Twisters, etc.

Definitely. There are so many moves that I "know" but I can't tell you how much better I've gotten from the DETAILS that coach Zog has taught me. I mean, something as simple as an americana. A good instructor will take your efficiency to another level. I'd recommend hitting up seminars whenever they're in town and scheduling private sessions whenever you can afford it. Mat time is great. But nothing beats a good instructor and rolling with experienced guys who will make you better.
