25 years old with shitty flexibility...Too old to get started?

I have heard this from so many people I have lost count. The real question is am I too old to get into Jiu Jitsu? I was pretty good Judoka back when I was in High School (brown belt), but a bad ankle injury took me out of the sport and only recently have I decided to return to it. Being in the military I have been have in and out of the country the last few years and I had a to put off what I love for that time. But now I am coming home and people are telling me to grow out of it. How can you quit something that helped define who you are today and how can someone have the nerve to tell someone they don't have the right pursue something because THEY feel you are too old. Any one have any thoughts on this. I appreciate any insight.

No, I started at 25 and had the worst flexibility ever. I am pretty sure Eddie didn't start till he was around 24. Its never to late to start.
The flexibility part just takes time and dedication. I would sit every night stretching and it took me about 3 months to get loose enough to start working some rubber guard and triangle setups.

I've got a guy named Bill who started with me about 4 months ago. Bill is 59 and has severe claustropohobia but he rolls 2-3 times a week with me at 5 min rounds now. He got all 204 lbs. of me in a speedy little electric chair last week. Point being youre
    never too old Devil Dog!

Took me a year of stretching every day to be able to sit in full lotus.

Your way too fucking old! Get a job and buy lots of stuff. Get in debt so your trapped in the rat race. Work 12 hour shifts so you get that cool car or big house. A seemingly endless pursuit with little reward or purpose. Next thing you know your in your death bed.

Be financially intelligent or learn to be!!!! Limit your financial responsibilities (debts, kids, not likewise thinking girlfriends) and live your dreams!
