I'm currently training at KCBJJ under Jason Bircher. It's a Renato Tavares affiliate with a mix of gi and no gi grappling. It's honestly a great gym and the people there are fun and motivated about their training, the whole experience has been amazing. People there aren't 10th fans but nobody gets angry at me if I pull rubber guard or dive for ankle locks and they have an objective respect for rubber guard, ankle locks, and other non typical BJJ stuff. Other great gyms in the area are HDMMA (Jason High's Gym) and Nova Unaio (Leonardo Pecanha's place). I recommend trying out as many schools as you can and find a place with a vibe you can connect with.

I trained with Jason a few months back at KCBJJ and it is a great place to train. Jason is a real good instructor and good dude. I'd definitely recommend checking him out, great vibe and great training!
