    1. Gracie Jiu Jitsu The Master Text

    2. Saulo Ribiero Jiu Jitsu University

    3. Anything by Eddie Bravo

    4. Anything By Marcelo Garcia

    5. Frank Gotch's Catch Wrestling Set

    6. Anything by or about Farmer Burns

    7. Guerilla Jiu Jitsu

    8. I think Rigan Machado has released a few volumes of The Encyclopedia of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu

    9. Joe Moreira has released alot of good books

    10. Royler and Renzo Gracie have also released alot of top notch books

And I could go on and on...you'd be better off researching grapplers who's styles are similar to what you want to be and search for their material. I'd start with the Gracie Jiu Jitsu...get your basics solid, then slowly work your way into 10th Planet, Wrestling Concepts and whatever peaks your interests, but never underestimate the basics. Roger Gracie is the best Jiu Jitsu player in the world because he keeps it simple and hangs on to dominant position when it presents itself and he goes for the kill when it's secure (and he's been repping his stuff since he was a baby), but you probably already know that...you're Gracie Barra!!!

obviously eddie's books are money. saulo's jiujitsu university is easily the best grappling book i've bought, worth way more than the price.

greg jackson has a groundgame book thats pretty sweet. more mma based, and its less involved with bjj, but it includes strikes and how to set up subs/ sweeps with strikes and failed attempts. jackson's "the ground game" i found works well. randy couture also has a book on wrestling for mma, which is very indepth. other than that, all the books that were named above are really really good.

The 2 best I've read are Jiu Jitsu University by Saulo Ribiero and Mastering Jujitsu by Renzo Gracie. The Gracie book is probably the best, it's heavy on text and theory and history and principles, which is really the most you can ask from a book. Lots of still photos from all angles don't really help me as much as knowing the principles and ideas behind them. This is also why old judo books are so awesome. Judo Unleashed by Neil Ohlenkamp is also great.
