Yo, I'm getting my ankle scoped, 9 screws and a plate removed from my Tibia/Fibula in my right leg in about 3 weeks.
Has anyone ever gone through a surgery like this? If so- how long was recovery?
I've heard so many different things from Docs...I don't know who to believe.
I'm supposed to go to S. America (in the middle of the FUCKIN jungle) within a few weeks of the surgery- to a place so remote, that they are flying me in via Helo.
Kinda worried, don't wanna have problems or get some crazy infection while in the boonies like that.
Anyone know how long it will I'll be on crutches? Walking boot? Walking normal?
And the big one- How long until I should hop back on the mats?!
