I looked through Sonnen's record and noticed something; the last elite striker that he faced was an injured Anderson Silva. Prior to that, no one he's faced has been a high caliber striker. So no, a great striker hasn't knocked him out because he hasn't faced one. Originally Posted by StephenG

So let's compare: Sonnen gotten tagged more times than Machida's been taken down and controlled. I'd say the fight favors Machida.
