Chris that was a Great post and very helpful, I'm at the crossroads of my career as well and any advice would be appreciated. We are in the process of trying to be an official affiliate but have been put on hold until we to quote Eddie "wreck House" at NAGA. My dear friend and training partner P.J. Sisco and I would like to compete in Oklahoma next month to prove ourselves. P.J. - still in his early twenties is no doubt a beast and will do great. I'm a couple decades older and while still physically and mentally strong, I feel like humpty dumpty with all the pains and Injuries, every morning I creak out of bed and snap myself back together to go train hard at the Gym at 5 a.m., Things that use to heal in days now linger for weeks. this combined with the fact that my girlfriend of 19 years (don't want to rush into marriage!) insists that I will be single if i compete again. After a championship MMA match I clinically died and was resesitated from a punctured lung collapsing, They called everyone in for last rites and etc. It happened from not blocking a knee to my floating rib thirty-six seconds into the first round. I fought till I collapsed in the third round. It was my first loss ever and I had won multiple titles before that in wrestling, boxing, and MMA. So I'm now kind of stuck between competing to finish our affiliation and being single along with adding porcelin hip replacement to my "Things to do list" or being just another MMA school after studying the system like a bible, drilling the techniques relentlessly and knowing we can teach the system very well.
