Telles. Came up training with monsters who forced him to turtle, so then he decided to actually make that an offensive position.
I saw a video of him competing once and some guy was yelling at him accusing him of using lazy jiu jitsu. constant turtling and rolling and sitting as the other guy kept trying to smash him. Telles won, making the other guy work harder to accomplish less while he worked less and accomplished more.

I'm gonna have to go with Marcelo Garcia. Watching his earlier Open Weight matches inspired me to understand leverage and force vs finesse. I try to tailor my open guard after him.
It's got to be De La Riva. As a small, slim guy i'm always looking for inspiration as i'm usually smothered by power houses every time I roll with anybody slightly more experienced than me. DLR found a technique which worked well against a bigger man and perfected that technique, with more experience and knowledge I believe I can tailor my game the same way as he did.
I also admire the work of José Leão Teixeira, more-so for his tireless work for BJJ and his fantastic coaching to the future generation of jiu jitsu.
I have been fortunate to have had seminars with both legends, so I guess it's easier to admire people you have seen in the flesh.
Too many to list but Caio, Marcelo, Mendes bros are easy to list. I try to keep it in house after our homies like Eddie, Master Vic, Slick Rick, Denny, Brian Stuebner, Beezy, Ryan from Vista, and Big Red. Sean Roberts has been supercool and helpful. Too many to list
Marcelo Garcia, Miyao's, Rafa and Giu Mendes, Rodolfo Viera, Victor Estima, Braulio Estima, Kevin Webb (Instructor), Leo Viera, Andre Galvao, Rickson damm theres just too many. 10th P, Eddie and Denny
Braulio Estima for sure, and Jeff glover. Even tho my ass jiggles a little more than the normal guy, my game is similar to Jeff's. #bigdudesplayindeephalf #ihashtagforums #yourmomlikesme
Im gonna say Zach maslany and J.M Holland, who BEEN tearing up expert divisions and JUST got their bluebelts. It really shows what work ethic and devotion can get you.
Jon u da man your support of us is greatly appreciated we will keep working hard for you
