Keep it professional. You guys are business owners and leaders in the community so act as such.

I'll probably catch crap for saying this, but if this guy is so dumb and immature that he would call you a joke in the newspaper. Than I would just laugh him off and move on. He is clearly a very unprofessional person. Allow him to run himself into the ground.

Also remember that your students are watching you right now. They are learning from how you react to this situation. Character traits are passed down from the top.

I know what it feels like to get hated on. I've been hated on for years. Especially after opening my school. I've received it from just about every source as well. Even people who rep 10p.

You just have to accept that people don't like seeing other people succeed. As long as you are doing the right things, there is nothing legitimate they can say about you. Other people will see that as well.
Now they will still say negative things. The things they say just wont make any sense though.

For instance, I've heard that my blue belt is fake. I've heard that I get tapped by every body that comes in. Most recently someone from a local school told one of my guys that I am "scared" to compete in front of my students.
All of which is false and none of which, my students or the people around that matter, believe.

Just keep it professional brotha. The haters are gonna hate.

^^^ Best advice yet. Be the bigger man, your students already know the truth.

Eddie personally signed on your belt so yeah, let em talk. Someone in 10p? Who?

Tony, if ya feel like ya got something to prove, then prove it. This award seems kind of a silly thing for this to get started over, but credibility is everything in this game. There is only one way to gain it for real and that's to be able to compete successfully and have you're students do the same. I would be able to ignore this guy pretty easy. Good ol' fashion dojo storms are fun, but kinda dated.

My advice would be to deflate the public nature of the situation, and go with one guy to hold a camera and handle it quietly. Then publicly spam the shit out of the vid if he's still a dousche. Vids carry millions times the gravity of words or text.

Bobby completes me :-). That sounds like a better idea than mine. I didn't have much hope of it happening anyways.

At 2:50 in the video, I thought that she was going to bust out the Dim Mak from Bloodsport.

I just gotta say, how is a spinning back kick that is one foot from the dudes head (but still knocks him down) do anything. You are practicing to miss. It would be like practicing a single leg takedown and puposely missing the leg in practice then callin' yourself the best wrestler out there. If you repped single legs this way you would never ever pull one off when needed!!

The video was funny. Only two of the guys breaking bricks did it without having to jump up and down. Reminds me way too much of the ATA guys I used to beat up. Dude's a joke. 12th Degree black belt? Really? That right there is enough to tell me who the fake is. BTW, the music in the vid was annoying.
