Mother Brutally Attacked in N.J. While Daughter Watches (Gracie Breakdown)

*HELP US CATCH THE ATTACKER & TRAIN THE SURVIVOR****

In this special edition Gracie Breakdown, Rener Gracie and Eve Torres address the brutal home invasion assault that took place last week in New Jersey.

At 10:30 a.m. Friday, a man broke into a home in Millburn, N.J., and brutally assaulted the female resident while her terrified 3-year-old daughter watched. The entire incident was captured on a nanny cam and we need your help to put this violent criminal behind bars.

The purpose in making this video is three-fold:

    1) The attacker is still on the run and we need your help to catch him.
    2) The Gracie Academy is eager to sponsor the survivor of the assault to come to California to get the training necessary to overcome this traumatic experience. Help us reach her.
    3) Women around the world, especially mothers, need to realize that they CAN neutralize a larger, stronger attacker with the techniques and principles of jiu-jitsu. Share this video with as many people as you can so mothers everywhere access this life-saving information.

If anyone is in contact with the survivor, please tell her to contact us at info@gracieacademy.com.

This is why i would have to teach anyone in my house jiujitsu regardless if they wanted to learn or not. This fat fuck would not have had the confidence to try that shit against anyone who he thought could put up any kind of fight. And this shit rarely happens to anyone who's ready for it, the world is strange like that

I loved rener's approach, and in theory it works well when you're well adapted and versed in Jiu Jitsu, but no lie if someone kicked in my door I'd much rather have 18 rounds of something being put down range at an attacker, because its either the attacker or my family and I, and I'd lay money down that each of you would rather choose a dead attacker than a dead family. But the points Rener makes are good for all aspects of fighting, closing/managing the distance is key. But I hate to see this happen to a mother of two who's home alone.

true indeed, and her husband needs too teach her how to use a gun & learn some jiujitsu himself as well, because something tells me that this guy could not have done shit even if he was home. Not just jiujitsu but most chicks should have a little 25 auto available at all times & they fit into any purse and learn how to use it so there not affraid to use it " Fuck being a victim "

Let's be realistic for a second here... I'm all for jiu jitsu but come on! Have you seen that guy's size? If she would have tried something he would have "rampaged" her no matter how badass she is with her jiu jitsu. I'm 135 soaking wet and if one of my 200lbs guy wants to pick me up and Slam the living fuck out of me, chances are, they could no sweat... In jiu jitsu you're not allowed to slam... guess what? That's not jiu jitsu! that shit was real and she would have been in even more trouble if she would have tried something and by that I mean trying to grapple with that dude.

Don't get me wrong! I'm a big advocate on girls learning jiu jitsu but there's moments for that it won't save your ass. In this case I don't think it would have been beneficial for her. On the other hand, having a dog would have made a difference!

A gun? yeah maybe if she was trained properly to deal with those kind of situation. If she had no firearm training guns could become super dangerous. What if she froze and he got the gun of her hands? Shooting someone ain't that easy. What if he also had a gun and shot her instead? By the looks of it that guy doesn't give a fuck. A gun is a bit of a gamble but with proper training it could save your ass

My take on it: Dog>gun>self defense.

most dogs would have just licked his hand, they have to be trained to attack. & most suburbanites only like "weak ass poodles" and house dogs. some jiujitsu is better than no jiujitsu no matter what. and if he wanted to rape her the triangle would have been a legit option. Shes lucky he just wanted to steal some shit. If he wanted anything else that " ostridge " defense of burying your head in the sand would have made this a rape or rape/murder case.

Watching that makes my blood boil. That really is sickening. I believe jiu-jitsu would have helped her tremendously, and concealing a gun in a safe nearby location probably would have helped as well. Having an attack dog isn't a bad idea either, though it isn't necessarily practical for everyone. I personally believe that all women should learn some form of self defense, or at the very least have a taser, some pepper spray, etc.

I would have filled him with so many bullets he would look like Swiss cheese. I would smile about it to, because I just did the world a favor. Sometimes being trained to kill is a good thing.
