Hello Nibiru-Warriors,
this is my first reply on this forum...so...time to celebrate, bitches!
I am a 10P white belt at the moment but a bluebelt in Luta Livre so Ankle Locks are some of my strongest moves. And the KOB is an awesome position to set up those.
If the guy is pushing your Knee or you just did an leg drag, you switch to a reverse KOB belly. Pretty low at his hip, not like you would use to set up the triangle-stuff.
From there just get your knee under his leg, so you controll his upper-leg between your legs ( you are standing on your toes and pinch your knees togehter like in an armbar. Kind of this but with better controll;

From there you can go for a Kneebar or Ankle-Locks, Heel Hooks etc.
Its kind of suprising because its direct and its always good to change von upper body to lower body attacks. Also its hard to counter done right.
The KOB is generell an hard to sweep, reverse or regain guard from, especially when you are staying active and mobile.
Best position in MMA for striking in my opinion. You can strike straight, hammerfist, elbow body, head, legs with a lot of distance/power and always switch sides, legs or just mount. In Vale Tudo or streetfights you can easily stomp, soccerkick and if the guys pulls a knife you can walk away. Also you dont ruin you knees on hard floor.
Other go to´s from me in this position are mounted cruzifx, triangle-chokes and kimuras. Kimuras and Armbars can be set up very good by windshield wiping the nearside arm.
As former said, Cyborg has some good KOB stuff:

Also all the stuff Stephan Kesting does in this vid can be done (even better in my opinion) from KOB

Guys i hope you like my idea of the ankle lock, if you are interested i can make a quick vid.
I hope for a good exchange of knowledge and positiv energy across the atlantic.
