Just keep watching. You don't have to do everything he says or not do everything he says. Take what you need from it. Also keep in mind that he's talking about sport jiu jitsu on those early dvds. He wasn't doing mma at that point, and the rubber guard was made for mma so it's kind of 2 different things.

Do what works for you and Cora. Don't worry too much about opinions. Competition level guys have strong opinions about what does and doesn't wot without giving though to the idea that it works for others. Like I still hear guys say that double under passes don't work at the highest level. So yeah, we know that's not true. Do what works. In the words of a wise man, eat the meat, spit out the bones.

Thanks guys. You know I'm pretty gullible when it comes to things like this. That is why I come in here and ask the professionals...

The clinching game don't work at the high levels? Vinny clinched Werdum in the rubber guard and swept him. Gary Tonon is a mad clincher, he played prison guard off his back in ADCC and almost beat Kron.

The red destroyer destroyed all 3 of his opponents at the ADCC trials with his clinching. Geo is a clincher, watch what he does in 2014.

Ryan has got some great Jiu Jitsu moves but he's dead wrong about few things. But who's right about everything? No one :-)

Oh you don't have to convince me. I'm SOLD on 10th. Just trying to find things to tighten up Cora's triangle game because 2014 is going to be HUGE for her. All that she has done and learn is only from 1 yr of being on the system. I can't imagine how she will be like if we have another full year of the Warm Ups, MTS, and with the Advance Rubber Guard book also.... MIND BLOWN!!!

As of right now, all the strength and conditioning she get is what they do at the gym. I have notice an increase in her leg strength and size, maybe due to lots of shrimping?? Is wall sit consider squats? They do squats but with no weights, only body weights.

Body weight squats are good. A little weight is better. All the way down, as far down as she can go, and obviously all the way up. Pull ups, rows and push ups too. Be the beast not the beasted, don't be the feast, be the one that's feastin :-)

Make sure you take the time to learn how to do those things with proper form, though, Bruce. The last thing you want is to have her bust up her knees or lower back. It happens a lot when people lift with poor form.

Maybe spend a session or 2 with a personal trainer and have them teach y'all. Just a suggestion
