I've hit that throw in mma. you can most definitely use it in there. there's plenty of options to hit firemans, jap whizzers, and no arm firemans in mma if you are proficient at it. this is a really effective takedown I would definitely not eliminate from your game if you can get good at it. definitely throw a lot of wrestlers off if they know you yourself are not one.

It does vary from school to school, as a previous poster said, but I'd say armspin before firemans because of the leg placement. Some wrestlers I train with also call it a Jap Whizzer.

Richard I rewatched it, it may be a jap whizzer from Russian grip, although the real jap whizzer is going to come from inside tie up instead of the Russian being on the outside. If you guys are interested I could upload some throws that have worked well for me?
