Exactly. I was surprised that he has done this honestly but his explanation made more sense. His previous MMA fights have been punches, takedowns, and then subs or TKOs from the mount. I expected him to do that this season but I don't mind seeing him heel hook everyone either. But I hope we get to see some of his top game in the UFC because it's ridiculous and better than his bottom game.
Another thing he said was that in MMA it's easier to heel hook people from the 50/50 than no-gi matches because in MMA people are more relentless about staying on top. And that makes it harder to escape the position and the best way to escape is to concede a sweep and maybe go to the bottom. But in MMA people try to stay on top and punch or try to yank their leg out without going to the bottom.
