10TH planet satellites

So ive had this idea for awhile but it only came full circle in my head tonight but well all 10th planet jujitsu is the ducks nuts the future of the sport and a league all on to which its own but hanging out on this forum ive noticed that when people claim to be teaching /training in the system people go fucking ballistic if they are not a official moon ie (the cape town saga and a few other people ) which is rightly so eddie and all the higher belts have been copping flack for years about the system and to have some punk claim to be associated with it when they haven't paid there dues is just pure shit so it puts guys like me who are in the middle of no where in a weird position training wise so this is what i thought up

basically a paid for system (don't know how much eddie ????) in which people could open up there homes for no gi training (yes i know the gracie s have something similar duh ) the reason this tip of the hat so to speak should be paid for is if you pay for some thing your more likley to look after it more so for the privilege of being listed on the site under this satellites listing i think a person should have to

1 have mastering the rubber guard and mastering the twister books for reference to the moves and positions

2 have at least 2 10th planet dvd s mtrg Allstars the twister fade to black

3 be a active pro member of this forum and have there posts and questions checked to make sure they are legit (no rubber cock video postings IE lost )

4 10th planet gear you wanna train it you got to rep it that the only way to get people interested

5 matts duh got to have matts 10x10 is a pretty good size for a garage set up

6 pay for the privilege i know if you wanna be a moon you got to pay so its only fair you have to pay to be a satellite as well


i havent thought of any more yet but please feel free to add to it if you think its a good idea have a good thanks giving (those who celebrate it ) and speak to some of you later on

thats a pretty good idea dude i would be totally down to help i have the books besides jiu jitsu unleashed the mtrg dvd actually gonna buy all stars tomorrow with that coupon lol i go to tenth planet phoenix almost every week and i can walk you through the steps of most moves (hope to be an instructor someday) so this would be a cool start

That is a great idea, there is next to nothing in the UK, I have turned my coach onto 10th Planet, and he has fallen in love with it. This is something he would be interested in.

its more of a getting over people in to the system and finding training partners who have the same feelings towards the gi i do there is one other person i know of in my state that is 10th planet minded of course all belt upgrades people would need to follow what eddie has said before about belts promtions which is fine but all the tools are given to us in eddies books dvds and in mts why dont we all get our little satellites and get to training

I don't think being taught moves by people who don't know them is the best way forward if you have to pay for it. The way I see it is, if you learn a move from just the book, you aren't getting all the details. I know for a fact that when I went to train at HQ, things I'd been doing from the books were made a lot better when I've been told the little details to refine them. You also don't pick up the bad habits you are doing too.

FAIR ENOUGH, make a 10th Planet hotbox, but it's not a wise move to have white belts as "official sattelites" teaching your system.

I feel that if you REALLY want to train with Eddie, you'd save some money up and get over there at least once. Fair enough people have responsibilities but to me, it's the only way. In the UK, we have Richie Goddard, who is a 10th Planet Purple, and me, I'm a 10th Planet Blue, and I teach it for free if you make the effort to get a train here. It's only 2 hours from London by train to Liverpool. Nottingham is in the center of the country and I've been there 3 times to train, as well as gone to Victor Estimas.

If you are serious at all about your Jiu Jitsu, you make some sacrifices to do it. Don't buy that cool shirt you saw, save it for train fare to train for a day. Don't buy beer for a month. You'll help your body as well as your wallet. Don't buy your girlfriend a stupidly expensive xmas present, just get her a fake one and claim its real, etc

agree with the go to a proper school to be trained (yes im going in june july after i buy the mrs that expensive ipad thing ) but what im getting at more to the point is for people that have no schools to train 10th planet no people to train with in 10th planet my idea is more of a hey theres no schools around but there are these people who live 5 10 50 kms away that have matts and they all really drill 10th planet

Then do it... just dont call it 10th planet ? Then after a few years try to get a deal with Eddie to bring the whole crew to HQ or something.

I train with a boxer, a wrestler and a karate dude. Got all my stuff from videoes and books. Then last week I trained with a top level black belt from Brazil and DAMN I had some corny ass flaws.

Train bjj, jj, sambo, wrestling, judo or whatever is close if you can and get your posee together and rep 10th planet stuff

Doesnt Grayson West have a school in Perth ? He is a legit bjj world champ

Pretty much what JC said. Find one guy to roll with and go from there. Join a local BJJ club/gym/sewing circle to meet people and train nogi on the side.

Other than that, any gracie-garage type set-up should be called "drop pods" because most will burn up on entry, but the Nibiru warriors who withstand the ride to the surface will be bad ass.

The Gracie's thing is very similar. In fact, the "garages" are not allowed to put any "Gracie" propaganda OUTSIDE the place, nor are they allowed to take dues.

I've been researching this as a local TKD place has been claiming to "train jiujitsu" and the common belief was they had a "Gracie Garage" but got into trouble for claiming to be Gracie ranked belts and collecting dues when in fact they had no training under any Gracie whatsoever. If I remember correctly they were using DVD's for each class and no live rolling. Pretty lame. The Gracies shut that shit down from what I've been able to research.
