    yea ...my takedowns are ok..im feeling only comfortable with pulling standing guard or touching and sitting...lol i am doing begginers no gi 155...

    I train the same way, bro, by starting on the knees. I was always worried about getting caught when trying a takedown, but I'm much better off my back, so I just pull guard. Good luck though, homie.

    yea thanks ma..still puling guard from standing agaisnt a wrrester is hard when they dont tie up and try to set up takedowns....i just dont want to start the match off by being down 2 points form getting took down..lol

    My first match ever was against a wrestler in the 160's division. My natural weight class is 140's. However, I pulled half guard, into the lockdown. Jaws of life, double unders, electric chair sweep into side control, and went from there. I ended up winning by points. If you feel comfy being on your back, and are worried about shooting in, pull guard, bro. I ALWAYS pull guard. At least you're on the mat and not dancing around and losing time.
