    I think they chose Royce to prove even a small guy could win with jiu jitsu. The gracie Family had better fighters than Royce at the time. Rorion chose Royce to compete.

    Yup, nearly sure I saw an interview with Rorion that confirmed that, can't remember where though. Sorry..
