Ok gottcha. Yes, those positions of control ( the clamp, the wedge, and the knot) are the foundation of my leg locking system, all the transitions I teach are based on the student having a working knowledge of those positions. The Reaper and all of its transitions ( as a mount escape, from x-guard, butterfly guard, etc) won't function properly if you haven't put in the reps into the positions of control.
