The 2011 Cleveland Area Golden Gloves are coming soon.

Preliminiaries: April 1, 2011 at the Brookpark rec. center
Quarter Finals: April 2, 2011 at the Brookpark rec. center
Semi Finals: April 9, 2011 at the Brookpark rec. center
Finals: April 16, 2011 at the Cleveland Browns Stadium

The weigh-ins were today, 3/26/2011, I weighed into the 201lbs division and my brother weighed into the 178lbs division of the Sub-Novice class. This will be our first amateur boxing tournament. Hopefully I will be able to get some pictures and video of our fights. I will keep you posted, wish us luck.

I have some footwork drills I do but no video, sorry. Freddie Roach has a great Instructional Boxing dvd set you might want to pick up. http://store.titleboxing.com/freddie-roach-dvds.html His Fundamentals of Boxing dvd covers some aspecs of footwork and is a great place to start.

I just found out today that I will be in the Finals competing for the 201lbs Sub-Novice Championship & my brother will be in the Semi Finals competing at the 178lbs Sub-Novice division.
