    Spring cleaning repairs

I would like to point out a few of the tragic flaws in the thinking of those responsible for the maintenance of this forum. I am in no position to speak for 10th planet as a brand or any individual affiliated with it. However, I do feel my perspective on the business and those affiliated with it is at least my right to express and at most needed. Eddie started the business by thinking outside the realm of what was considered correct. The name of not only the company but this forum illicit a desire to hurdle all preconceived notions. I think many of the individuals who practice 10th planet jj are doing so because they respect the ingenuity of Eddie and the system he is consistently creating. I find it to be discouraging when individuals open their minds to some new idea that takes a bold leap of faith, only to land and declare all other opinions and ideas absurd and inherently incorrect. If freedom of though and action was a success in 2004 it should remain a central theme in 2011. If unusual or controversial ideas are snuffed out there will be no progress spiritually, psychologically or physically.

There are certain ideas/perspectives that are universally considered in bad taste. Racist/sexist remarks are always going to be unacceptable unless you're on a hate mongering forum. Yes, 10th Planet is excessively open-minded and we do promote thinking outside of the box, but there will always be a line that you can't cross. I personally don't necessarily think you are racist or sexist, you just make comments that you find funny that sometimes come off as racist or sexist. If you are here because you want an open forum that will tolerate ANY point of view, you are in the wrong place. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

If we shy away from joking about subjects that could offend someone, don't we force ourselves into a very governed state of mind? Doesn't joking about topics take the real negative energy out of the hands of those who truly hold such ignorant assumptions?

Joey Karate says the craziest things, they probably wouldn't like him posting much here either... The joking around I think is fine sometimes but some of the actual thread topics take away from the actual purpose of the forum.

On another note, there is an ULTIMATE ASS thread somewhere that some females wouldn't take so kindly, so the not tolerating sexists comments can be thrown out the window because now you're saying they are wrong unless they come from certain people.

What I personally find offensive or funny isn't the issue (personally I find alot of your posts funny, I have a fucked up sense of humor). Its what others find offensive, and the negative energy that creates, that concerns me as a moderator (and the other mods as well), especially when those that are offended are paying members, and what you don't seem to understand is that does impact Eddie and the site.

Did Eddie not say that he enjoyed some spice? Let me ask you this. If I were give you my $5, would that not negate the argument that the concern should be with paying members? I totally respect that Eddie and yourself, are making a living off JJ. I am pro business. Without straying from my original point. This business was created on the assumption that pissing off a few in order to make progress is worth it, and in fact this proposal has proven successful.

I think some of your comments about black people were meant to be sarcastic. But its hard to pick up sarcasm though text and some people received them as blatant racism. "black kids don't have parents" with an obvious sarcastic tone in your voice and in the context of making fun of somebody who is racist, is funny as hell but its hard to pull off in text.

Just to prove that I find you funny, I laughed my ass off when you insinuated that you knew more about Eddies vision for 10th Planet and his views on the necessity for growth of humans physically, physiologically and spiritually more than myself or the other 10th Planet representatives.
