Throwing haymakers without correct technique can work for a while against other unexperienced guys, but until you develop a solid game you can have no idea what works against what. It's just like Jiu Jitsu, you can learn the Japanese Necktie on day 1 and say it's the best technique, but if you don't understand it then you can't know.
No punch is the "best" punch. I could say the jab is the best punch because Anderson uses it so well, it differs. But until you have been through the right amount of time, i.e not just the start, you can't understand that.
