I am a vegetarian and my views are simple. People naturally eat meat. It is healthy, you need a good protein source, eating meat is part of our nature. So I have nothing against eating meat. I don't bash or blame people who do. I just don't eat meat.
Why? Well my reasons are fairly simple. I think it is morally wrong to get animals born with the sole purpose of product, it is labelled on them as soon as they are born and being eaten is the only purpose they have then. In nature there is a fight, a test between skill, a fight, a chase, an ambush. And with THAT I am fine just as I am fine with the idea that when I am outdoors a cougar could try to eat me because that is part of nature. Hell I have eaten animals I killed in nature so I am a weird kind of vegetarian.
It is just that as SOON as you buy that packaged meat your are giving money to the mass producing companies that they can spend on expanding their business and that is what I don't wan't to support.
Just as with voting you make a tiny, tiny difference, but a difference nonetheless.
