Does anyone cross train a "traditional" martial art?

I lived away for two months one time and I was introduced to and trained SKH ninjutsu. Did I think it was realistic? No. Did I think any of it was effective? Probably not. I got to admit though, it was actually fun. I didn't voice my true opinion of the style when I was there out of respect. Any similar situations?

I do American Kenpo also (Blue Belt in Kenpo 2000) & MT as well. The kenpo has really helped me with my accuracy & speed. They just dont alot of ground work, thats why i got into JJ. It also helps in "Real World Application" , if i ever get into a fight my dad says if i have a lock/choke on someone "rip off their limb evenif they are tapping"

I Train ITF taekwon-do (4th degree) Judo, submission wrestling and boxing, I like to use the traditional more for applying variation in the more modern styles like pulling a mune gutame instead of perfect side control messes with peoples game plans
