Said, someone asked a legit question on how to escape the truck. Everyone thinks this kid is trolling because its a 10p question. I actually love how little respect we are given at times because if they ignore 10p techniques due to ignorance and they find themselves tapping to a 10p move in competiton its so awesome

i, for one, find it wonderful.
I'm an out of shape, worthless BJJ practitioner, and I catch "traditionals" all the time.
Then I have a question and answer session after each class too...everyone wants to know how to do it after haha.

I torqued my own neck (win) hitting the twister roll from side control to secure the truck and getting a twister on a purple just the other day.
And finally, knowing the proper tech after having Zog show me how to rip legs off...
THATS NICE, That's all I'll say.

Don't hate on someone typing...just know what to do and SHOW them better.

Yeah, I can understand some of that attitude. The "Advanced BJJ only" comment in that thread title makes it seem like a troll, probably even more so to guys that aren't familiar with TPJJ terminology at all.

Though I must say, I really loved the commnt about how we have "nonsensical terminology" for the techniques. You know, because "Americana" is so very descriptive... honestly, the vast majority of BJJ guys probably don't even know how that lock got named.

Cake of Bones and Kiss of the Dragon are pretty rediculous names for techniques too...

People will always hate what they dont understand but a true martial artist will always embrace that of every aspect of the art... I love the 10th planet system and as much as I want to learn every aspect I can learn of jiujitsu. The 10th planet system is what opened my eyes and really allowed me to see out of the box and grow my game the most! Im grateful for all of you that keep repping and growing the art!

Man I recently posted on a few BJJ forums promoting 10th Planet Corona's opening.
The amount of pure hate I got after saying basically "New gym, come check it out for free, have a nice day and safe training!" was insane. Guys throwing names around and getting legit angry. I posted back that 10th Planet members respect all JiuJitsu practitioners and we're all part of one big family. I got banned and thread deleted.
My point is, no matter how nice you are or how much sense you make...

It's just good competition. 10th planet has really grown into an association and team as opposed to just a style of jiujitsu. It's like a sports team rivalry. Everyone has their team and their stance and that's all good.
To me I think it's a positive thing to have the hate or criticism or whatever you wanna call it cause all it does is create a stronger team on our side. It's just important for all the Nibiru warriors out there to not make the same mistake as the "haters" and for us to strengthen the core and foundation of the system non stop and continue to apply the JKD concepts we have been and continue the growth. With that said be sure to practice your basics ?lol

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. It is good to know how to defend everything. Marcelo trains certain guards and positions just to know the defence, but will never actually use it as it is not his game.

I also think the basics is what wins world championships. Don't fear a man that has practised 1000 different kicks 1 time, but a man who has practised 1 kick 1000 times.
