What ratio of sparring to drilling do you think is best?

Also, when teaching new students, what techniques do you think are most important for them learn initially?

Rigan has an amazing open mind when it comes to Jiu Jitsu. He actually took a private with me when I was a purple belt. Of course I didn't ask for any money nor did he ask, he just wanted to meet up and learn the twister. How fucking cool is that? Your ego really has to be in check to ask a purple belt to teach you law grappling move when you are a legendary black belt. He is always looking for new techniques which I have found to be rare in the BJJ black belt community. Rigan is unlike any black belt I have ever met. He never learned the twister right but came up with his own variation called "the Rigan twister" which very few people can pull off. Ryan Gregg, a student of his, has pulled it off in comp.

50/50 I find best, that's why my classes are about 45 minutes to an hour of drills and 45 to an hour of sparring.

The 8 warm up series I have put together I feel are the best sets of Jitz techniques for beginners

Here is the band I sing in. This is from our first album. We are just working in studio on the second now.

    Master Eddie, Question:
Do you still have a supplement regime like you did that you described in the Rubber Guard video?
