How important is it to continue to learn even once you reach black belt level? Can you just have your money moves and be content?

It's impossible to be a good teacher if your Jitz sucks. If you study and break down the game like an unbiased detective, then drill like a man on a mission, and roll on a consistant basis with anyone and everyone, do that for years, then you will have the foundation to become a good teacher. The smoothness of the articulation comes with lots of time and practice but you will be surprised how smooth you really are when you teach material you actually use in sparring against your toughest opponents. Look at Debes, he's super shy and some would say a tad bit introverted but when it comes to teaching his go 2 moves all of a sudden he becomes Barack Obama

    Master Eddie, Question:
Do you still have a supplement regime like you did that you described in the Rubber Guard video?
First of all that was heavy as fuck! LOOAWWWKK AND LOOOOAAADDD!!!!

As far as my vitamin regimine, yes I'm still a supplement freak. I take vitamins, minerals, trace elements, protein, acidophilus everyday. Vitamins and minerals are nutrients. If you don't believe in taking vitamins then you don't believe in taking nutrients, then that means you don't believe in nutrition. What's the difference between a mixed green salad and chocolate cake? One is loaded with nutrients and the other is not. I believe that nutrients are essential for a healthy body so I take plenty of them

You know me, I love that Jiu Jitsu is ever evolving and new techniques are still pouring in. We've added spiral guard, dlr, deep half, 2 on 1 butterfly guard, etc to the 10p system and I will continue to ad legit nogi moves as they are proven effective. But this is not necessary to be a successful black belt instructor or competitor. You can just stay in your comfort zone and continue to only polish your go2 moves til the day you die and you could be fine. The most important thing to keep drilling techniques, either only what you are good at or that and new moves too, either way you'll be fine. Once you stop practicing is when you begin to die.
