I have to disagree with you isaac, there's a level of flexibility that's needed to do rubber guard, especially when you get into positions like invisible collar. The basic path might be okay for people who aren't too flexible, but even Eddie says you need to be able to get double lotus to even get a black belt. Lots of guys I know can't do it.
So in saying that, I can see the gracie brothers point and the original goal to make the techniques universal to all body types, etc. But I also know that you can increase your flexibility through a lot of time and commitment.
Anyways, I do love these guys and their breakdowns, but I did sense they were trying to be overly pc, but can't blame em for that
