[John Mejia]

So here are my matches at the IBJJF Chicago.

I took silver by default in my weight class, I lost to a dude that weighed in at 354 lbs. No excuse my technique sucked balls.

I took 3rd in the Absolute, I won one match via sub, and lost the semi finals match on points, the guys in the finals just closed out the division. Which made me even more mad. My technique was also sloppy as fuck.

I felt a duty to put these up here, because they needed to be seen even if this was the worst performance of my career thus far. I wasn't myself, and I'm not sure what happened. It was just an all around shitty performance. I've gone back to the drawing board since then and have refocused my diet, my training on the mats, and my training off the mats. Up next for me will be Grapplers Quest at the UFC Fan Expo, any Submission Only tournament that I can squeeze into the schedule, IBJJF Summer Chicago, Gracie Worlds, and hopefully IBJJF Worlds.
